About Woodinville

The Basics

Known as Washington Wine country, Woodinville is located 30 minutes northeast of Seattle is known for its gorgeous grounds, quaint restaurants, wineries and tasting rooms. It is home to 100+wineries of all sizes, 8 microbreweries, 20+ restaurants and 1,000+ businesses within city limits. Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery and Redhook Brewery are the most famous of these. Woodinville wineries are separated into the following districts: Warehouse Winery District, Downtown Winery District, Hollywood Winery District, and West Valley Winery District. Woodinville has a long history in the Northwest from farms to railroads to wine and beer. The Woodinville Historical Society was established in 1975, with the purpose of preserving the history of the city as well as educating those interested. Woodinville can be described as a community adorned with much grace and history, and is a sincere gem.


Woodinville, lies within the Northshore School District, which borders Kenmore and Bothell. There are four public schools within the Woodinville City limits. They are Woodinville High School, Leota Jr High, Wellington Elementary and Woodin Elementary.


The semi-rural feel is embodied traditional homes on acreage, white fences, horses, endless trees and mountain views. Hollywood Hill is home to many equestrian properties and the Tolt Pipeline Trail provides for great trail riding. 


Woodinville is never short on entertainment whether it be wine tasting at one of the 100+ wineries (try JM Cellars, Brian Carter or Longshadows to start), enjoying a meal at one of the many highly rated restaurants (Barking Frog, The Herbfarm) or cheering on your favorite team at the Woodinville Sports Field. The summer is bustling with events, including summer concerts at Chateau St Michelle, nights on the town, or Savor at Sunset Wine Walk, to mention a few. For the gardener, check out Molbak's Garden + Home and walk among the rows and rows of plants and flowers, shop at the gift store or eat at Molbak's Garden Cafe


Enjoy your time relaxing at the private Bear Creek Golf and Country Club, or one of the other surrounding courses. Or enjoy a game of tennis at the Gold Creek Tennis & Sports Club.A jog through one of the trails along the Sammamish Slough or stop and appreciate the finesse of the Woodinville serenity in one of the parks.
